Watch me in new TV series ‘Combat Trains’, which airs for the first time on TV this week and draws on my book ‘Steaming to Victory’

WATCH me in a new History Channel series starting this week about railways and warfare, called Combat Trains. It’s on Sky and Virgin among other channels. I’ve done some thrilling stuff on World War II, based on my book ‘Steaming to Victory: How Britain’s Railways Won the War’. Here are some pictures of me filming in Churchill’s top-secret railway HQ at the disused Down Street station in Mayfair. (It was very dirty and spooky down there!)

Here’s the schedule:

 “Nazi Railways” will be airing for the first time this Wednesday 25th November at 9pm. This will be on H2 which you can find on Sky Channel 531, Virgin 273, BT 330 and TalkTalk 330. Following this, episodes will then air every Wednesday up until the 16th December, where there will be a Christmas and New Year break before starting again from 6th January. So the schedule will look like this:
Nazi Railways – Wednesday 25th November @ 9pm
The Death Railway – Wednesday 2nd December @ 9pm
Ambulance Trains – Wednesday 9th December @ 9pm
The American Civil War – Wednesday 16th December @ 9pm
Precious Cargo – Wednesday 6th January @ 9pm
Secrets & Lies – Wednesday 13th January @ 9pm
World War I – Wednesday 20th January @ 9pm
World War II – Wednesday 27th January @ 9pm
As well as the above, each episode will also be repeated five times each week. The timings for the first episode are below, and will repeat at the same day of the week and time for each following episode:
Thursday 26th November @ 2am
Thursday 26th November @ 2pm
Thursday 26th November @ 7pm
Sunday 29th November @ 11pm
Monday 30th November @ 3am
As said above, each episode will repeat in the same time slot each week.
